Whatever brought you here — a child who needs support, a question that needs answering, or a referral from someone who cares — you're in the right place.

Meet Samantha -

I'm Samantha Jaekel, M.S., CCC-SLP. A Long Beach native, I grew up along the coast of California before moving to Austin, Texas to obtain my masters in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. My husband and I have two beautiful young boys - the real Beetle and Hare! - as well as an oversized lapdog and very adventurous cat. When not working with clients or spending time with my family, I enjoy reading, baking, gardening, and running.

In the future, I hope to enjoy life on a small hobby farm while expanding Beetle and Hare to encompass multiple disciplines and an inclusive play-cafe offering vocational training for teens and young adults with disabilities.

The Heart and Mind Behind Beetle & Hare

The values that root everything we do.

What We Believe

Communication takes many forms — spoken words, signs, devices, gestures, and more. We meet every client where they are and honor every form of communication as valid, meaningful, and worth supporting.

Every Voice is Important

We don't believe in a waiting room model. Parents and caregivers are part of every session — not because we need them there, but because they are the single most powerful force for progress in their child's life.

Families are Partners

We follow the research — even when it challenges convention. Know better, do better. Every approach we use is grounded in current evidence and chosen because it works, not because it's familiar.

Evidence Leads the Way

Beetle & Hare was built for Georgetown. We're not a franchise or a national teletherapy platform — we're a clinic on the Square, embedded in this community, invested in the families who call it home.

Rooted in Community

Designed to be the therapy we would want for our own children.

Ready to work together?

We’d love to meet your family.
